Maine Spinners’ Registry

The Maine Spinners’ Registry was originally formed in 1989 by a small group of dedicated spinners. At that time, names and addresses of spinners in the state were collected and a small newsletter was written. Now we have a website and post for our members a comprehensive list of members and fiber-related vendors, educational opportunities, and other items of interest. The goal of the organization was, and remains so to this day, to promote, educate, and be a networking system for spinners throughout the state of Maine. We continue to use our original slogan, ”Join the Registry! Feel the Connection.”

To meet our goals, we sponsor spin-ins around the state, host fiber arts retreats, and help coordinate outreach programs for spinning and other fiber arts.
