The Maine Fibershed

We work to create equity and collaboration among Maine’s vast Fibershed communities. The Maine Fibershed’s mission is to educate and connect people to maximize the health of our environment, protect Maine’s natural resources and shorten supply chains.

In 2023, we are beginning to create a state-specific Maine Fibershed Directory. We invite those who comprise our Maine-based Fibershed to join our directory so that you can connect with others and create awareness among end-users of your efforts. See our members and JOIN our directory.

We believe that while we cannot return to the ways of the Wabanaki (People of the Dawnland) who honored and nurtured these lands for over 10,000 years before they were stolen, we can create a new, inclusive, transparent way forward that respects the wisdom of our elder people, plants, animals and earth. We are ready to listen and learn.
