Dyers Advisory Board

Maine Fibershed’s Business Plan includes the launch of special-interest advisory boards that can provide grant focus, geographical input, and program momentum.

The first Advisory Board to launch addresses our amazing collection of Dyers and dyeing enthusiasts. Comprising a small group of dedicated educators and dyers, the Dyers Advisory Board is currently undertaking:

• •  Feasibility study for a Maine Fibershed Dyers Studio
  • Transparent Labeling of Dyes and Mordants on all Maine-fiber offerings
  • Developing a series of affordable, state-wide workshops that utilize the creative space of Granges, farms, libraries, fiber festivals and other local gathering spaces
  • Feasibility study for a Maine Fibershed “Retreat to Dye For” event (2027)
