I am a dyer of silk, wool, and linen, using natural dyes for my botanical prints, indigo for shibori, and Jacquard red label dyes for painting. Introduced to dyeing fabric at Haystack Mountain Craft in 2011, I have continued to be fascinated and explore the nuances of dyes on different natural fibers.

Botanical prints are created by taking flowers from my garden (my "farm") and leaves from my neighborhood and creating "forest floor" images on scarves and shawls. My work is basically on silk, but merino wool gives clear, sharp images, and I would like to experiment with cashmere.
